    MS fired the Aces team with all the “institutional knowledge” about the Flight Simulator. The new product looks more like a “game” and less like a simulator. I don’t think MS realizes how angry their customer base was after they killed off the simulator. My hope is that there will be an all-out boycott of the new MS “game” from the FS community to send a message to MS on how badly they miscalculated killing off one of the best franchises in the company’s history.

    Read “Wings of Prey” of the landscape, lighting changes, we really think that FSX is falling behind the visual effects …

  17. marcelobtp says:

    First, this video might be real graphics of the game, is not the awesomest thing i ve ever saw, definitly not!
    Second they probably will not make a simulator, so why they would not call it a flight simulator like the earlier games?
    Flight is the same name, but without simulator, so this really means something to me.
    Final, it will probably be one of the most memory intensive games until now so expect a uber graphic card with 8 gigs of memory to run this game well, and maybe two hexacores.=)

  18. GCS1992 says:

    @BobbyGipe How did you know the release date?? Do you have a link??

  19. xliver4 says:

    @marcelobtp
    Your on something if you dont think those graphics are impressive for a flight simulator… or any other open world flight game. I think they called it flight to bring new people to the franchise because we all know that the name “flight SIMULATOR” will make some people shy away from the game. If this is true, then your statement about the graphic intensiveness would be incorrect. Also they might add some none simulator modes to the game.I would be surprised if theydonthavesim.mode

  20. FAROOQ95123 says:

    @marcelobtp Respomse to ur second paragraph
    Previous Versions Of This Franchise Was Named Microsoft Flight Simulator By The Microsoft’s Aces Games Studio And Now That Game Studio Was Closed Recently Who Were Mainly Responsible Their ‘Flight Simulator’ Franchise And Now New Members Of The ‘Microsoft Game Studio’ Are Developing This Game By Giving That Name ‘Flight’ Ommiting ‘simulator’ Because Of Copyright Of Aces Game Studio.

  21. marcelobtp says:

    @xliver4 so remember the past games of flight simulator they were really intesive, so as crysis was at 2006, some games are hardware sellers because people want it.
    You don t understand nothing about graphic propably…Memory is needed on games like this. But crysis runs on pcs at low config or medium, so this game will be playable in almost any today pc but not at maximum settings.
    And man crysis looks better than this, so its not de best graphics i ve ever seen.

  22. marcelobtp says:

    @FAROOQ95123 THX

  23. xliver4 says:

    @marcelobtp
    I know a lot about graphics, and yes i understand that the MAX settings will be graphically demanding, but it’s like that on most games and it also depends on what your definition of that is. I would assume that if they are making this for a new fan base, they would have a wide variety of graphic options.

    Also, i can tell that you dont know anything about graphics if you’re seriously complaining about this game not looking like crysis. Why would you even compare the two?

  24. marcelobtp says:

    @xliver4 the way the plane moves the water, the textures light reflections, shaders, some details show that the game is not that good, even if its just CG.
    I can compare to anygame, but if will say that the best graphics of a flight simulator, it could be, because the last (flight game) that caught my eyes was hawkx and most because of Rio de Janeiro where i live. But man when you see the size of things and the textures used on it you feel like, this games failed so much.

  25. xliver4 says:

    @marcelobtp
    I dont want to call you stupid, but your acting stupid. You can hardly tell anything about the graphics from a 50 second CG video uploaded to youtube about a game that Microsoft said almost nothing about. The only thing you can really say is that the water looks good since thats the only thing you can clearly see throughout the video. Neither Crysis nor any other game has to load you into a world as large as flight simulator.
